3x3 is the highest visual-intensity Olympic sport: a match can be decided in five seconds, the clock never stops, and the shot clock forces 12 decisions per minute. KronoGraph has a bundle built specifically for that format — not a 5x5 adaptation, but the same engine with templates and ruleset rewritten for FIBA 3x3.
Who this service is for
- Federations with a 3x3 circuit at national or regional level (Reto 3X3, FIBA 3x3 World Tour, qualifying) needing a production-ready graphics package.
- Production companies contracted for urban events with multi-court and 8-32-match daily bracket format.
- National Olympic committees covering 3x3 qualifiers — the sport is in the Olympics and broadcast coverage is mandatory.
- Brands organizing 3x3 tournaments with their own aesthetic needing deep re-skinning.
Technical differences from the 5x5 bundle
Clock and shot clock
The match is a single block of 10 running minutes closed by score-to-21 — the team that reaches 21 before time expires wins. Shot clock is 12 seconds (not 24). The operator console reflects exactly that ruleset: no traditional "quarters" or "OT". When the clock stops, the shot clock stops; when it runs, viewers see it in real time.
Scoring and fouls
Scoring is 1 (close basket) and 2 (beyond the arc). Fouls accumulate per team (7th, 8th, 9th, 10th produce free throws) and per player (4th disqualifies). The bundle shows team bonus on screen when entered.
4-player roster
3x3 teams have 4 (3 on court + 1 sub). Lineup adapts to that count and headshots render larger to fill the space.
Simultaneous multi-court
3x3 tournaments run on 4-8 parallel courts, all day. Each court is an independent event with its own Operator Console + Output. A single KronoGraph backend supports the whole operation, and a small broadcast team can produce all courts via multiplexer.
How it works
- Tournament setup: load teams (4 players per roster), brackets and schedule day. KronoGraph generates all matches automatically.
- Per court: assigned operator opens the panel for the in-progress match. ScoreBug + Lineup mounted, fires Game Title with shortcut.
- Live: Genius Sports FLS feed or custom feed. Scorebug auto-fire on every change. Operator supervises and operates ingame stats.
- Close: Final Score lower-third, transition to next bracket match.
Real production use cases
- Reto 3X3 (LATAM) — regional circuit with custom bundle, multi-court per event, own brand kit.
- FIBA 3x3 qualifying events — Genius Sports FLS, continental identity.
- One-day urban tournaments with reduced production — single operator running 2 courts with auto-fire doing most of the work.
